Mediacom Unable to provide service that is paid for

By far, the worst experience with a service provider I have seen. Let’s start with the service itself. It’s suppose to be 50mbs download speed. Through many speed tests through several sites the most I could get was 14mbs and averaged around 9mbs. I’m using the latest docsis modem. This is all contingent that I can even connect.

The service drops connection at least 15-20 times a day requiring a modem reset and half the time still won’t reconnect even with a reset. I’ve tried to connect directly to the line coming off the street (main feed) bypassing house is irony and still the same. The service is nearly 50% downtime. I’ve never asked for credit just wanted the service to work as promised. Never has from day one with being  a three year customer.

Now let’s talk about the customer service…there isn’t any. Trying to solve anything over the phone will take several hours of your day. The auto text system (molli) will almost always tell you it doesn’t see any trouble I’m my area but yet tells me my modem is offline and then gives me an agent. (Keep in mind when you call in regarding the same issue the recording will tell you there is an issue in your area even though the molli and the text agent will tell you there is no issue in your area. I think they just tell you ou whatever you get you off the call). Agent after agent disconnect when they are unable to assist you (I have many text conversations and recorded calls as proof of this) causing you a o call back over and over never solving anything…and if you are lucky enough to get someone to setup an appt for a tech within hours the service starts working aging and they send you a text asking if you want to cancel the our appt because the service is now working. And if you cancel the appt within the hour the service stops working again. Vicious cycle and they never solve anything. I suspect they try to add to many customers off of a particular node and are unable to provide the service because of inadequate equipment. 

Summary….terrible service only topped with even worse customer service. If you have another option in your area I highly advise using anyone but Mediacom. It will same you tremendous headache and stress.

Roosevelt Law Center This company was supposed to be getting me a modification since March of 2021, by July when I spoke to my mortgage company nothing was ever processed. My mortgage company case manager told me that I needed to pay the mortgage in full which by July is now 7 months behind, because I paid this company a total of $2100. In 3 Zelle installments. After speaking with my case mgr I request a refund and my calls had stopped being answered until I contacted the BBB.

They have since taken $1400.00, but stated they don’t have a refund policy. I don’t feel like I should lose my home, because of unethical business practices. I am on SSDI and my fund are limited. These people understood that. They did nothing and want me to pay over priced rebates for calls etc. Their refund is a joke at best and a total betrayal from a company I entrusted with my largest purchase my home and I am in risk of foreclosure thanks to these people. I

I had been a customer of PayPal Inc for a couple years as a business account. I had several issues about PayPal’s account limitations and account freezing but I was able to solve those issues by identifying myself.

I owned a shop called K-FAM Records for Korean albums overseas. On April 17, 2020, I received a call from PayPal asking me too much information about my business such as:

 

  1. How much sales do you get per year?
  2. Who are your suppliers?
  3. How long you been in business

My suppliers don’t need to be exposed because it can be used against them. They didn’t like my answers and told me they will limit my account until I provide the following items

 

  1. Proof of Fullfilment (Which I gave)
  2. Supplier’s information (That’s none of their business)
  3. Business information (I gave them what is public use)

 

PayPal Inc limited my account, took $564.74 to place on reserve because they said this:

“PayPal is holding a reserve of $561.74 of your existing funds. This is to ensure your PayPal balance is large enough to cover any disputes or refunds you need to address. Your money will be released based on your account performance.” It’s August 29, 2021 and there has been no chargebacks, no refund reports, and thanks to them, I had to shut down my eBay account because they prevented me from refunding the money they took as a reserve.

I reported them to the BBB and they told me I have a balance of $509.06 that is due on a linked account I have no idea about. They refuse to release my funds until I send them a check. I shouldn’t have to use my own money to pay them when they are reserving $564.74 already on my actual PayPal account. PayPal is not a bank. They shouldn’t have a right to hold funds.

After several months in August, Ticketmaster announced a tour was cancelled and they said I will receive a refund in my original payment, which was the PayPal Debit Mastercard, but PayPal closed it. I want to withdraw the money I earned on my own before they take it from me. PayPal’s representatives are horrific. They reply the same messages on Twitter and Facebook. I cannot express how terrible they are and how they are hurting small businesses and customers alike.

Collecting Cars collectingcars.com Misrepresented a car I won on thier auction

I won a car on this company’s auction site – they charged my credit card $500 which is their fee. After the auction they gave me the seller’s contact information so we can consumate the transaction. The seller and I exchanged emails and I discovered the car had massive rust that was not disclosed in the description nor in the photographs.

I, of course, told the seller I will not be purchasing a rust bucket car that was misrepresented by this company; collectingcars.com. I immedeately reached out to collectingcars.com and the representative told me I was able to cancel my transaction with the seller, but they were keeping my $500. The representative confessed that the photographs did not depict all of the rust on the car and because of that they would give me a $500 credit towards any future purchase from their company.

Well, I don’t know about all of you, but I would certainly never again bid on any car advertised by this company because the same thing could happen – problems not disclosed. I’m writing this to help others from getting tangled up like this and lossing $500, or even worse getting a car deliverd that is completely misrepresented (or defects/problems omited from their description).

I feel that I got ripped off by collectingcars.com – they should have done the right thing and returned my $500. Instead they are so hungry that they are keeping it. The representative had the balls to ask me about the cars I own and if I would sell any through collectingcars.com. Ha! Not in a million years!  Anyway…shame on collectingcars.com. Hey collectingcars.com ~ karma is a bi*ch – you better change your ways.

RV parks in Cochise county Allowed my RV to be violated.

As like upstate New York and Long Island and Pennsylvania the government has control of RV parks… They are do taking private companies that own an RV park and charge outrageous rates for trailer trash RVer mainly White trailer trash that violate other people’s space they drive on other their site and does damage to their cars and RVs and there’s nobody to complain to because the park management and owners can give a crap less if your property gets damaged as long as they’re making money.

But as New York State Long Island and in Pennsylvania this does not happen because the state owns and runs the RV parks and they do not tolerate any Bull crap and they don’t allow alcoholic beverages on campground property… They do not allow drugs and if you do any of these? They will violate you and take your camping Card away so you never can go camping again and they will make you hitch up and as soon as you hit the highway? they’ll arrest you for DWI.

I commend these states for keeping camping a family camping experience a family function, not a White trailer trash function. there are children at these parks and they don’t need to see adults acting this immaturely and violating a normal camping experience. The White trailer trash that has ruined 97% of RV campgrounds where all you see is broken beer bottles all over the park – cigarette butts more cigarette butts than being in front of a street with gutter hoors where you need a snow shovel to clean the walkways off with millions of cigarette butts I guess in Arizona they do not have ashtrays?

Well this is the state of Arizona every campground you go to you have the same old story and some of them every time it rains you can’t go out of your RV for 2 days because all the feces comes out of the holding tanks and goes all around your RV and truck. Nothing like giving your children a disease that they will die from, (But the State of Arizona can care less). Why can’t Arizona make laws and rules like these to protect RVs in the state of Arizona,? There are more children getting raped because every RV park has a dozen or more pedophiles that live full-time in them that are living at these RV parks that are eyeing up your children and violate the children while you camp. If you decide to RV you better off going to another state…

Rules per government run RV parks. Arizona’s Local Government needs to think about doing the same,

Campground Rules & Regulations

  1. Reservations
    1. Green Key holders can make reservations through the Parks Online Reservation System.
    2. Walk-up campers may reserve site(s) on same day, availability of a site is not guaranteed and is first come first served
    3. Resident and Non-Resident VIP Green Key cardholders may make reservations from 1 to 180 days in advance.
    4. Non-Green Key holders can make reservations from 1 to 180 days in advance, but only 45 days in advance for holiday weeks (Holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day).
    5. Online Reservations become available at 7:00 pm for the new day.
    6. In-Season reservations booked Thursday-Sunday or on a Holiday have a four (4) night minimum stay requirement unless otherwise established
    7. In-Season Reservations Monday-Wednesday, have a two (2) night minimum stay requirement unless otherwise established
    8. In-Season reservations are limited to seven (7) night maximum unless otherwise established.
    9. Off Season reservations, have a minimum of two (2) night booking requirement unless otherwise established.
    10. Cedar Point, Blydenburgh and Sears Bellows permit 3-14 night stay In and Off Season.
    11. Campers may not return to the same campground for a period of seven (7) nights from the time of check out.
    12. In the event of circumstances out of the control of the camper (i.e. weather, service malfunction, repairs, etc.) Parks Administration will assist in relocating the campers. If no other locations are available within a reasonable time or distance a refund may be provided to the camper’s household account unless otherwise determined by Parks Administration Office.
    13. Campsite information including site size and available features posted on the reservation system are for information purposes only and are subject to change.
  2. Camping Season
    1. In-season camping is between April 1st-Veterans Day unless otherwise posted. (Season is weather dependent.)
    2. From November 1st to March 31st, any campground that remains open is for self-contained campers only.
    3. Water is available from April 1st to Veterans Day or as weather permits.
    4. Water Shut Off dates will be posted on the Suffolk County Parks website.
  3. Check- In
    1. Check-in time for campers with reservations is 4:00 pm on the first day of reservation.
    2. Campers may contact the park directly to see if early check-in is available.
    3. Campers must check in by 9:00 pm on the date your reservation starts or contact the park with anticipated arrival date, otherwise camper will be considered a No-Show and No-Show fees and rules may apply.
    4. Green key holder who made the reservation must be present at time of check-in and accompany guests while camping.
    5. Campers must provide attendant with valid Green Key card.
    6. Camper is responsible for providing valid registration for camper and any vehicles upon request.
  4. Check-Out
    1. Check-out is 12:00 pm.
    2. If camper is not vacated from the campsite by 12:00pm, they are subject to a ‘late check out fee’ and potential Green Key suspension.
  5. Occupancy
    1. Sites are limited to four (4) adults or one (1) single-family unit (example 2 adults and their children).
    2. Sites are limited to one camper, trailer or RV per campsite.
    3. A small tent is allowed to be set up in addition to a camper
    4. No tent, trailer, RV or camper shall extend beyond assigned campsite.
    5. All vehicles must park on their assigned campsite and cannot extend beyond assigned campsite.
    6. Two (2) tents permitted on tent sites.
    7. Guests may visit patrons in campgrounds between the hours of 8 am-10 pm.
    8. Visitors must check in with park attendant upon arrival.
    9. Only vehicles with valid camping parking permit permitted into campground.
    10. Single car parking at campsites. Two vehicle parking permits will be provided. Second vehicle will be permitted to park in main parking lot with permit. (Exception Outer Beach Campgrounds).
    11. Additional vehicle(s) with purchased additional parking pass must park in location specified by the campground.
  6. No-Show Camper
    1. If a reservation is not cancelled and the Green Key Card holder does not check-in or contact the park with an anticipated arrival date by 9:00 pm on their reserved check-in date, they are considered a no-show.
    2. No-show sites will become available for booking to others on a first-come, first-serve basis.
    3. There Are No Refunds For No Show Reservations.
    4. No-Show Camper is subject to a No-Show fee.
  7. Cancellations
    1. Reservations cancelled/modified after 48 hours of reservation booked will result in $30 cancellation fee.
    2. Reservations cancelled/modified less than one week prior to check-in date will result in $50 cancellation fee.
  8. Pets
    1. It is the pet owner’s responsibility to ensure all pets staying/visiting the campground are inoculated per local and state regulations.
    2. Proof of inoculations for any pets that will be staying on site may be requested at any time.
      1. Proof includes Rabies Certificate or tag dated for current year
    3. Only domesticated animals are permitted in Suffolk County Parks.
    4. Pets are not permitted in bathrooms, picnic areas or areas where food is served to the public.
    5. Pets must be on no more than a 6’ leash and under owners control at all times.
    6. Pets are never to be left unattended on county property.
    7. Two (2) pets per campsite permitted.
    8. Owners are responsible for the proper disposal of pet waste.
  9. Generators
    1. Generators are only permitted to operate between 9am-1pm and 5pm-9pm.
    2. Generator placement should be in a location that does not interfere with other campers.
    3. Generators creating excessive noise may be requested to be shut off.
    4. Generators shall not be left unattended.
  10. Waste Disposal
    1. Campers are responsible for properly disposing waste in designated dump stations, unless campsite has sewer connection.
    2. Camper is responsible for preventing any wastewater from discharging onto the ground.
  11. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in Suffolk County Parks (unless a permitted event).
  12. Camping reservations will not be issued to anyone under 18 years of age.
  13. Groups of campers under 18 years of age must have at least one (1) member over 18 years of age.
  14. Minors may not be left unattended at any time.
  15. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 pm each night until 8:00 am the following morning.
  16. All camp fires must in approved fire rings/containers with solid bottom only. Fire must be completely extinguished with water before leaving.
    1. IMPORTANT Covering the fire with sand does not extinguish the fire. Instead, it insulates the hot coals and fills the pits with hot sand.
  17. Violations
    1. Violation of any campground rule is grounds for eviction.
    2. Violations will be noted on Green Key Holder account.
    3. Violation(s) can result in the suspension of Green Key account.

 

Outer Beach Camping

  1. Outer beach camping is permitted with reservation at defined outer beach campgrounds (Cupsogue, Montauk, and Shinnecock East and Smith Point), beach conditions permitting.
  2. Outer beach and beach parking lot sites accommodate self-contained trailers only, all season.
  3. Self-contained campers must have a minimum of 5-gallon tanks for fresh, grey and black water and have a flushable toilet.
  4. Smith Point Outer Beach Campsites are available by walk-up only on a first-come, first-served basis.
  5. Open fires are permitted in approved containers only, see recreational fire policy for more details.
  6. Four-wheel drive vehicles, with Suffolk Outer Beach permit, may access outer beach campsites.
  7. All Camping Rules and Regulations apply to outer beach camping.

 

Club/Group Camping

  1. Club/Group Camping is available at Blydenburgh, Southaven, Indian Island, Cedar Point, Sears Bellows and Cathedral Pines. Clubs/Groups must submit an application with a non-refundable reservation fee.
  2. Deposit is required to secure dates. Deposits will be deducted from camping fees incurred.
  3. Club/Group camping has a seven (7) unit minimum for non-holiday weekends and ten (10) unit minimum requirement for holiday weekends on the first night of reservation.
  4. Fifty percent (50%) of families attending must have Resident Green Keys. Non-Resident Green Keys are not required for Group Camping if 50% Resident Green Key minimum is met.
  5. Handicapped Youth Camping Groups are free during weekdays. Regular Rates apply on weekends.
  6. Only Suffolk-based clubs can make reservations up to May 31. Beginning June 1, non-Suffolk-based clubs can make reservations for group camping.
  7. All Camping Rules and Regulations apply to Club and Group Camping.

Alpha Omega Mechanical I hired them to replace an AC, coil, furnace. I gave them 1/2 of bill as deposit. They did nothing and I am trying to get my money returned. They gave me a BAD CHECK and I have now filed a police port and a local DA report of the crime Sparks NV

I hired Alpha Omega Mechanical to replace my AC/coil/furnace. I did NOT sign any contracts or papers. I gave Bill (who works there) a check for as deposit to buy materials. He did not and I called and left VM but no responses I sent emails as well. I finally got ahold of Teresa Daly who is the bookkeeper on 7/28/21. I asked for them to return my funds as no services or equipment/contact after 7/7 was done. She sent a check which I received on 8/9/21.

 I deposited it into my bank on 8/10/21 and it was returned to me on 8//19/21 as a BAD CHECK (NSF). I was charged $15 return fee. . I sent a certified letter on 8/22/21 giving them 5 days for resitution. NOTHING. I sent email and left VM again. NOTHING. I want my money returned with the bank return fees asap. I have given them plenty of time.

Lowes Home Improvement price match policy meaningless Raleigh North Carolina

So I ordered a new Refridgerator from Lowes on Thursday.  Friday I saw Home depot had the same model for $67 less.  I went to Lowes web site and inquired about the policy.  I was told it applied to include 30 days after purchase.  So I witing until Saturday to do something about it, since that was when they were to deliver the refridgerator. 

So after delivery I got to the store and they tell me they wont match Home Depot, sinc it is sale price.  Really, why have a policy.  So then I call the 800 number and am told, yes they would match the sale price, but only at the time of purchase, not 30 after I purchase it.   So what exactly does this policy do?  fyi, Home Depot4 id also 45 less to haul away the old appliance.  $72 difference between Home deport and Lowes.  

The Lowes price promise give a false sense of security while the consumer is getting screwed.
