Whirlpool Corporation broken microwave door not replaced after 3 months of waiting. Benton Harbor MI

On February 1st, the handle to my Whirlpool microwave broke off.  I called Whirlpool Customer Service to request a replacement and service to install it.  This door was installed only 5 months earlier, after the original door also broke. 

I called Customer Service on 2/25, and they promised me a new door. 

I called again on 3/26 and was promised that a door would be expedited. 

I called again on 4/30, and was told that the previous promise was to “export” a door (i.e. from China). I was also told that the door had been shipped to my local service provider, but arrived in damaged condition. Nobody on either end followed up. Another door has been ordered, and “should” arrive at my local service provider in 7-10 business days.

After 3 months, still waiting for a replacement door.

Whirlpool products used to be high-quality, and the company backed up their warranties.  However, after this experience, I will never buy their products again.
