Pods Moving and Storage Damaged my vehicle and refused to pay for it and defrauded us. Clearwaters Florida

A nightmare from the beginning.  First they came and would not place the pod on the 12/50 RV pad we had that would easily accomodate it.  They dropped in the driveway almost blocking the road. Lazy. They charged us almost the entire fee on the same day although they advertise they split the payments up. This was important for us as we were closing on a house in another state and our lender warned us not to go over $1500 a day in transactions.  We disclosed this to the agent, they did not care apparently.  They ran the charge as a debit instead of a credit in opposition of what we asked for.  Fraud! No attempt after several calls to the customer service center to rectify the situation.

When the pod did arrive to the destination the driver there argued again with us about placing it further back on the gravel driveway citing power lines far above at least 16 feet above.  They argued they had not enough clearance.  They state on their site they need 12 feet width clearance which it was 12 feet.

Now the icing on the cake, the driver who comes last to pick up the pod on the final day is honest but his manager is not. The driver runs podzilla into the front bumper of my truck in broad daylight. The truck is 20 feet out of the way on the road.  He lets me know which I credit his personal integrity.  He shows me the text from his manager telling him to leave it be and return to central in Grandview,MO.  The manager cites in the text that he will come out and pick the pod up.  The manager comes and picks up the pod and disappears into thin air.  The first driver let me know also that the manager would speak to me to clear up the damage.  This is obvious subterfuge.  I try calling the driver, he has been told to ghost me. I never hear back and he won’t pick up.  Suspicious? Yes.

Laureen Hill is assigned to the resolution.  After explaining all of this to her, she offers me a mere $200 and sends a form for us to sign stating we will not speak of this to any forum or public entity.  No thanks.  $200 won’t even pay for the new truck bumper. It’s laughable at this point.  You pay extra for their insurance which is also a scam.  Laureen cites in an email that we all sign something idenifying them of any damages.  I asked to see said contract.  Nothing back.  It is unreasonable to believe that a company can do any damages they want to their customers without any recourse and still stay in business.  That’s a policy I would not have as a business owner.  Needless to say, I will probably end up having to shell out $1500 minimum on fixing my own truck.  We may file a police report but we all know that does very little.

Moral of the story, if you hire pods they can come destroy the pod at your place or in transit and when they do arrive , they can run around destroying other unrelated to the move property items such as my truck sitting 20 feet down the road away from the driveway that has nothing to do with the pod itself.  Nice!  I’m sure a judge would see that as reasonable. NOT.
