I contacted this group regarding land that was advertised. I continually requested maps, survey, restrictions, and easements information from Mike H*** who purported to be the owner of the property. Upon Mr. H***** "rested" assurances that the land was free, clear and completely unrestricted with a trout stream and fresh spring heads, I scheduled an appointment to go and view the property.

The trip was costly with having to get a hotel, pay for gas and eats, etc. When I arrived, I checked in as instructed and immediately began asking to see the documents that Mr. H*** assured me would be available. Everyone I spoke with said that Mr. H*** had the documents I was looking for and would make them available "later on".

I went with a young lady who had just graduated college for interior design but is selling land for this group. The young lady advised that the 24 acre lot I have been talking with Mr. Howe about for over a month via email was, well, not able to be shown unless one wanted to wade through red clay mud and sink into it. She took me to other lots and I explained to her as I had to Mr. H*** that I was only interested in the 24 acre lot that we had been talking about; he had said was drone footage of the lots [drone footage was of other lots and did not include the Lot A which was 24 acres].

Essentially, every word out of Mike Howe was deceptive, dishonest, and sketchy to be kind. The young lady who showed the lots to me and my sister on Saturday, May 19th also advised that in the Purchase Contract one agrees to allow a pulp/lumber yard "clear" the land and Compass Land Group "may" credit the Purchaser for a small amount of the monies gained from the sell of the timber. At no time was I made aware of this clause – I would have never wasted my time in traveling to view any of the properties had I known this.
