Select home warranty Buyer Beware Mahwah New Jersey

On 12/12/2019 I contacted Select Home Warranty to purchase a Home Warranty Plan. I purchased a 1 year plan for $499.99. On February 2nd, 2020 I had a leak under my bathroom sink. I contacted Select Home Warranty and filed a claim. I was told that a service provider you come to my residence within 48 hours.

The following day I was contacted by their service provider who identified themselves as a heating and air conditioning company… They asked to text photos of my sink. After doing so, the service provider told me to go to a home improvement store and purchase a faucet.

The service provider then told me that after I purchased a faucet he would schedule an appointment to come out. I thought it was strange that a plumbing company would instruct the client to go purchase parts. So I contacted Select Home Warranty and asked if I should go purchase the parts. They said "no", if I purchase the parts they will not cover them.

Select Home Warranty said they would send a different service provider because the first one refused to come out for a diagnosis. And wanted to get an approval for the replacement of my faucet based on the pictures I text him. I waited one more day without hearing from a new service provider. So today, 2/7/2020, I called Select Home Warranty for a status update.

They told me that the only service provider in my area is the "heating and air conditioning" company that didn't want to come out the first time. So at this time I asked to cancel my contract and be issued a complete refund. In response I was told that I would be charged for the months I had the coverage plus a $75 early cancellation fee.

I normally would understand paying for the months I had the coverage and the cancellation fee. But I'm only canceling because they can't service my area. They should not have sold me the plan to begin with if they do not service my area. And I live in the city so where do they service?… Consumer beware!

Smile Direct Club Aligners caused 4 teeth to fall out of my mouth Nashville Tennessee

I have 4 teeth that has fallen out as a result of using Smile Direct Club aligners. I've spoken to 3 account rep over an 1 1/2 year period who had me send in cell phone pics of the damage to my teeth. I went to a dentist and had dentist take professional pics to send to them.

He told me they could not accept them, and that it must be pics from my cell phone. Really? I took more pics and sent them and they said it didn't fit the format of the templates they sent me. Long story short, they said after reviewing my initial scans, they saw that I had damage before I was approved for the aligners and decided to approve me anyway to help me improve my smile.

Here's the kicker, they continued to charge my account even a year after they knew my teeth were broken out and that I had a terrible outcome. I finally had to go to the bank and fill out forms to have them not to be able to charge my account again. They came back and started charging my account again.

Which made me have to change my debit card information and put on file that they had no right to withdraw money from my account. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and they lied and said it was my fault that the product didn't work because I didn't order the retainers. Why would I order retainers when the aligners resulted in my teeth damage. The saga continues.

Smuea We tried purchasing a 20 volt max lithium ion cordless kit (14 piece kit) and received cordless headphones instead.

We purchased a 14 piece tool kit for $70. The tools we thought we had ordered was supposed to be a 20 volt max lithium ion cordless combo kit. When the package arrived it was not the tools we were expecting, instead it was cordless earphones

 

Jet-A-Way / Barry Bros Hauling Recent Merger: Barry Bros was great but this merger has produced a company that seems not to believe the laws apply to them. Charged for pick-up I never received. Refused to credit. East Greenwich RI

I have been a long term customer of Barry Bros and in all those years received professional and courteous service.  I also work with them when I was managing a business, always delivered, emptied and picked up dumpsters as well as potty's as our requests were made, hardly an issue ever.  It was one of the better companies I dealt with on a daily basis.   Barry Bros Hauling, I recommend to other businesses, several friends and acquaintances.

So when I received my November 2019 invoice and it included 4 pick ups, I sent notice that I had been missed on Thanksgiving.  I never expected the push back I received.  The response that I was on the GPS and had a photo of the street, that the fee stood.     You have to understand when I returned home on Thanksgiving day, after celebrating with my family in Boston.

I was in heels and dressed up, I knew I dragged the barrels down to the end of my driveway, anticipating the Friday pick-up, due to the Thursday Holiday.   The barrels remained there until Saturday afternoon when my son brought them in.   I was puzzled as to what was causing the confusion.  Despite me explaining this to the office, the push back I received was, the fee stands. 

 I attempted to explain my situation, being very specific.  Then I was told the pick-up was on Thursday, Thanksgiving my regular day.   Never received any notice of change.  I was following the established contractual pattern, in placing my barrels out for pick-up on Friday.   I then researched what my options were, as I was completely frustrated.   

I discovered that special permits for hauling and recycling are required on specific holidays per the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Thanksgiving being one of them.  I was told that  I should review my towns bylaws concerning company hauling hours, as it may differ from what the Commonwealth of Massachusetts states.

My towns hours do differ from Massachusetts, as I stated in my e-mail.   ""No person shall load or unload trucks in any area designated as being a residential zone or within three hundred feet of the boundary of such zone between the hours of 10 P.M. and 7 A.M.""  Barry Bros / Jet-a-Way e-mails provided to me stated; that the pick-up was provided to my home on Thursday, Thanksgiving day at 4:34am.  A holiday and early morning violation.     It was explained to me that if I found that contacting the company did not resolve the issue, my next step would be small claims court.  Which is what I stated in my email…..You left me no choice.

So now you cancel a long term customer, for using the laws set up to protect me.  When Barry Bros /Jet-a-way was clearly violating the law.

I had been with Barry Bros for at least 10 years, with no issue!!  This merger does not appear to be a positive move for them.     

I just noticed that on my January invoice it states:  ""Due to rising dump fees caused by the lack of disposal capacity within the State of Massachusetts, you may see an increase in this months invoice. We apologize for the inconvienence this may cause and as always will continue to do our best to combat these increases by finding new cost effective solutions to dispose of our customers waste."" 

The price per week increased by $0.60, hardly an issue but notification of increase was on the invoice not prior!!   In the past we received prior notice, explaining what we could expect and when it would go into effect.   

Merchant Services Said i made a charge back to a merchant i never made. Symmes Township Ohio

On December 18, 2019 I received a letter through the better business bureau that I charged back an item on October 30, 2019 at a private men's health club. 

I have visited this health club 3 times. I never disputed any charges I made. In fact the men's health club banned me because they got a charge back notice that was not even for my card. I mailed the bank account merchant asking if they had made a mistake.  No answer. 

The BBB provided a copy of the charge back.  The card in question was from chase bank. I never had a card with chase . I looked over my card that I used and the purchase in question was made to my card in my name. My bank supplied a letter that I never charged back any of my purchases with the health club.

The health club after i provided them with the correct documentation from my bank said that they dont care.  So they never verified my name against the person who filed the charge back. They said I would become a liability because I questioned them about what happened. 

1. I used the health club 3 times.

2. I never disputed anything with my bank.

3. They used a charge back from a different date and customer name to say it was me.

4. I asked them to re validate my concern. They said I should never question their business practices.  They say what goes.

5. My name is on a black list of charge backs. 

6. I never had a card with Chase and they verified that with health club. 

Health club said because I wanted to be right and prove them wrong,  they just rather have me gone.  They don't realize accusations against someone who charge back is a serious issue.  All for $42. The banks cleared me of any wrong doing. So why does the health club after 7 years of being a good customer want me out?

After requesting information on delivery for a Christmas gift that didn't come I was told to wait a little longer because they were testing the battery operated heat-vest to make sure it worked before shipping. It came with no instructions and a usb connection without the battery pack.

After getting a batery pack (+$20) and plugging it in, it dfidn't work. I told them about it and so-called Jennifer told me to take a video and send that to them. A video? I was scammed from this person and company.

I stupidly believed that CDbaby was there for the artist. That's what they say. So I published my original 12 compositions entitled "Stevensongs" with them.  When I finally realised that they were just trying to get all they could out of me, a couple months later, I requested that they remove my publication and close my account. 

Well, they have closed my account but they have kept my publication going for themselves. I regard this as outright theft.  Do a search for Steve Melville music, it will take you right to CDbaby "Stevensongs". But it is only CDbaby who gets paid.  Is there no hope? Steve Melville.

TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!! DON"T WORK WITH THEM…..Mickey Murillo was the liar that filled out the application and details of my account application and falsified the data over the phone.  I am a NON-PROFIT organization that was looking for the best cost effective credit card processer.  

Because I was a non-profit organization I was told there was a program he could office…..HE PROMISED FREE NO MONTHLY FEE, EQUIPMENT, NO CONTRACT TERM OR CANCELLATION.  NONE of these are what was conversed details where followed through with.

 After getting $ taken out of my account for several months, and after a dozen calls and NO response to my emails to MICKEY MURILLO and other customer service member, I realize that I was totally taken advantage of. They are liars & thief's.

Mercari  closed my account with them no warnings ! I had my sales mine of 59.00 and that went to! I have tried to contact them and they tell me they can't find me and account closed!

I have expressed ok closed account fine but your keeping my money from my sales and they got there cut from each. All I want is what's mine fair is fair! They should not do business in this manner!

Home Advisor Pro Promised high quality leads. High sign up fee with poor leads that cost hundreds.

I signed up with Home Advisor Pro a couple of weeks ago.  So far I have yet to talk to a customer.  Called leads on phone with no response. 

Leads come randomly and they bill you for them regardless if you speak with them or not.  So far after speaking with ZERO customers they have billed me for over $500.  Stay away from this like the plague.
