Danielle Thompson the owner of Beautiful Spaces LLC includes installation in the purchase of cabinetry however she nor Beautiful Spaces LLC are licensed contractors and are not permitted by law to install or subcontract the installation of cabinetry in the state of South Carolina. They will not be able to provide the required license number which is needed for the permit, so you are getting charged for work that they cannot perform.
We contracted the purchase and installation of cabinetry from Beautiful Spaces. A couple weeks prior to delivery we asked Danielle Thompson for the license number required for the permit and discovered they were not licensed to install or subcontract the installation of cabinetry which is required by the state of South Carolina. She refused to refund our money, stating it was a custom order.
Once the cabinetry was delivered, it was discovered Danielle Thompson had ordered 14 of the cabinets with incorrect SKU numbers, so they had to be reordered. We were to receive the cabinetry and have them installed within 4-6 weeks, because of the incorrectly ordered cabinets, we did not recieve them for almost 5 months. Once we finally received the replacements of the incorrectly ordered cabinets, it was discovered Danielle Thompson had ordered 5 of the replacements with the incorrect SKU numbers.
Danielle Thompson refused to discount for the incorrectly ordered cabinets, the unlicensed contracting, the 5 month wait for the incorrectly ordered cabinets etc. She not only demanded the full balance due, she sent us an invoice trying to recharge us the $19,816.06 she had been paid months before.
Danielle Thompson was found guilty of unlicensed contracting and was fined and issued a cease and desist by the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission. This can be confirmed by calling the South Carolina LLR.
